Among the Missing in Haiti

Please join us in prayer today for several people that are among the missing in Haiti. Dr. Frank Garlock, founder of Majesty Music in Greenville, SC along with several others were on a mission trip at the time of the earthquake. They have not been heard from. We know that God is sovereign, and, even in this, He has a divine plan. We also believe in the power of prayer! Our hearts and prayers are with the Garlock and Hamilton families today. Rollerskating

Our winter rollerskating party has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. All ages are invited to attend. There is a small food concession as well as laser tag, and arcade games, so bring spending money. The cost to get in is $3.50 and $4 dollars for in line skates. Feel free to invite friends!

Christmas Program

Bible Baptist Church invites you to join us for our annual Christmas program on Sunday, December 20, at 11:00 AM. The program is entitled "What God Wants for Christmas" and includes all of our Sunday School children. Several of our older children will perform special numbers with instruments or singing. Our play is in memory of Debbie Wolford Troxell who drew up the plans for this play right before she passed away last year. She was a Sunday School teacher and we have missed her artistic flare all around our church, as well as her beautiful singing!

Thankfulness

Happy Thanksgiving to our readers. Here are some definitions of Thankfulness that our Pastor shared with us at our Wednesday night Bible study: "recognizing the benefits which God and others have provided, accepting difficulties as part of God's loving provision, looking for appropriate ways to express genuine appreciation, and looking for ways to honor others who have benefited my life." Psalm 100 is a wonderful scripture for the Thanksgiving season, and there are many stories in Scripture as an example for thankfulness. Consider the story of the thankful leper or the story of Ruth.
Here are some things that we are thankful for.

Bills paid in unexpected ways
Prayers answered in ways that proved to us God's power
Open doors for witnessing
A growing, active youth group
